This system is operated by transponder technology, meaning you don't have to do anything! It arms automatically 20 seconds after the ignition is switched off and disarms every time your keys get near the ignition. A short-range reader is located in the steering column. This makes it difficult to disarm the system unless the location of the reader is known. It comes supplied with 1 transponder tag and 1 credit card transponder which can be kept in a wallet. It also has a flashing L.E.D for a visual deterrent and a pin code override facility.

Insurance Approved (Thatcham) engine immobiliser operated by transponder. This system provides multi-circuit engine immobilisation including a coded handbrake valve. Its arms automatically 20 seconda after the ignition is switched off and disarms when the transponder (which is attached to the keyring) gets close to the ignition.
It also has a flashing L.E.D for a visual deterrent and a pin code override facility.

It has a water proof battery back-up 120dB siren and can provide remote controlled central locking (subject to vehicle).

The Trackstar Plus system is installed in such a way that it integrates with the car's existing immobiliser system. Immobiliser systems are designed to recognise signals sent from a transponder located inside the ignition key: consequently modern cars shouldn't start unless the correct key is used. Via sophisticated motion sensors Trackstar Plus recognises if a vehicle has moved illegally, and will immediately alert the National Control Centre and commence tracking it anywhere in Europe. These alerts continue every 20 seconds until the vehicle is recovered.
