| FACT: |
|
Fitting a regular car alarm to a short or long wheelbase horsebox is never recommended because the security requirements for horseboxes should include the occupants safety whilst occupying the vehicle, their possessions in external tack compartments or left inside the cab and living quarters.
In all cases ease of use has been designed together with a fail safe procedure to over-ride the systems in the event of an emergency.

| 12v and 24v: |
|
Our systems are designed to be suitable
for both 12 volt and 24 volt vehicles.
|
| Wireless: |
|
To avoid the disruption of removing carpets and panels etc: we use "wireless" technology. This works by sending infra-red signals to the alarm's CPU enabling us to secure external tack compartments as well as throughout the driving and living areas without having to run unsightly wires. |

Typically horseboxes are secured using an actual car alarm. However, this is never ideal as the interior sensors just don't have the range to cover the whole vehicle and wires have to be run to protect the stowage area and storage doors. This involves pulling up carpet and sometimes removing cupboards and trim. However, our 12 volt Thatcham Cat 1 system actually communicates using wireles technology. This enables you to have as many compartments, doors and areas protected as you wish, with no wires. It's clean and its professional. Simply add an RF Infra Red Sensor if your stowage area is seperate to the cab and an RF Magnetic Contact Switch for the door into the stowage area and any outside compartments you want to secure.

| B. RF Infra Red Sensor | POA |
The RF Infra Red Sensor is a PIR sensor. It's job is to protect the living quarters/livestock area of a horsebox if it is seperate to the cab. Because it's wireless it can be installed without having to remove any trim, leaving the vehicle exactly how it was found. It can be turned off if you want to keep the alarm protecting the doors, but still move around inside.
Price applies when purchased at the same time as an alarm.

| C. RF Magnetic Contact Switch | POA |
This is a wireless magnetic contact switch which can be fitted onto living quarter/livestock area doors and outside lockers and compartments(if they don't illuminate an interior light when opened) to trigger the alarm if opened. Because they're wireless no trim will need to be removed to run wires, kepping your interior just as it was found. You can also use this to protect outside compartments.
Price applies when purchased at the same time as an alarm.

The Trackstar Plus system is installed in such a way that it integrates with the car's existing immobiliser system. Immobiliser systems are designed to recognise signals sent from a transponder located inside the ignition key: consequently modern cars shouldn't start unless the correct key is used. Via sophisticated motion sensors Trackstar Plus recognises if a vehicle has moved illegally, and will immediately alert the National Control Centre and commence tracking it, anywhere in Europe. These alerts continue every 20 seconds until the vehicle is recovered.
